In the Know: 2007 Health Science Librarians of Illinois Annual Conference

Mark your calendars for October 25-26, 2007 for the Annual HSLI Conference. Continuing education speakers will be finalized soon and posted on the conference website at http://hsli.org/Conference. The conference hotel is the Holiday Inn, Champaign/Urbana. Reservations can be made by calling 217/328-7900. In addition to continuing education offerings, the NLM update, and a speaker, this year's conference will offer Table Talk, a venue for sharing ideas on new projects and services and to network with people facing similar issues. Table Talk will blend elements of poster sessions and round table talks. Participants may bring posters, handouts, or any other items that help spark a conversation. If you have a topic that you need to discuss but don't have time to prepare materials, just hang a sign off the table so visitors know what you want to discuss.

Applying for Table Talk: Since space for tables is somewhat limited, the conference committee is requesting that those wanting to host a table apply before July 1, 2007. Please send an email to Stacey Knight-Davis at slknight@eiu.edu that includes the name(s) of the table hosts, a title for your table, and a short description of what you will present/discuss. Please contact Stacey Knight-Davis for further information. Phone: 217 /581-6072.
